Christmas Fashion at The Darling Mansions

The time has come to plan my own Christmas wish list, and although I have been leaving (quite a few) hints, I am hoping that something from the following selection will end up in my stocking.

This is my dream Christmas day outfit….

Obviously Christmas means eating more roasties than usual, so this Maison Margiela jumpsuit is the perfect all day loungewear- smart enough to snazz up with these amazing new season Aquazzura leopard and zebra heels, which will add a little Christmas pizazz.

This 80s style leather MISBHV two tone bike jacket with removable sleeves is a perfect statement, and will make my neighbours curtains twitch when I pop out for an afternoon stroll… and this double star ring by Alinka is I need for a subtle statement.

My new years eve is set to be a glamorous affair. With a dress code of silver and gold, I don’t think I can manage the head to toe Barbarella look! However, I am eyeing up this sexy ruffled Ellie Saab jumpsuit, along with the snakeskin McQueen booties to dance away the night.

The classic Oscar De La Renta gold leather jacket will break some matchy matchy rules and of course, every respectable princess has a blinging Rolex timepiece so she knows when it’s midnight!

Happy Christmas to you and yours. And happy shopping too!

If you are a regular reader, you will know I am a bit of an insomniac! And the lack of sleep coupled with my over worked, laptop staring peepers, means I’m always trying new potions and lotions to help me not look like I was up half the night!

So when I came across BIOTRUE eye range for eyelids I thought why not! Anything to help refresh my lids at the end of the day, and the handy individually wrapped packs keep the pads safe. Not to be used as a make up remover, so you do all that jazz first, but they are a lovely way to finish off your ablutions and make your eyes feel fresh and perky. I use mine at night, but they would work equally as well in the morning- or anytime your eyes needed a pick me up.

They are brought to you by contact lens experts BIOTRUE, so they are ideal for lens wearers too.

Social Butterfly

November has zipped by in a blur for me! Although it is my birthday month, it always surprises me, and I can’t even begin to think about Christmas until the opening of advent calendars in December! I’ve even held back from watching all the campaigns apart from the Wes Anderson for H & M, and I can now officially declare Christmas open!

Here’s me donning my perfectly timed press gift from Ravel! Some saucy over the knee riding boots! Just need to dig out my whip!!!! I digress…

My last trip got me in the festive mood, as I jetted off to The Hague for the press preview and private view of the Givenchy exhibition “To Audrey With Love” which celebrates the iconic designers relationship with Miss Hepburn until the end, and is truly beautiful and a very personal journey. I also found out the Hague has Holland’s best hidden beach! So I will be proposing a press trip to experience that for myself in the summer… After World Travel Market my head is buzzing with travel pitches- salsa in Cuba and downtown LA have particularly resonated!

I also got to check out my perfect summer dress by Julien Mc Donald for Debenhams- how did he know I have been after a green maxi?? As it was press day season, I also got my face done by Elizabeth Arden on the same day! I fell in love with everything at Monsoon, and these cute as a button lucky charms at the Facets press day- by Dollie Jewellery.

Being freelance I do get invited to the odd Christmas party.. odd being the operative word! But it was great to meet Gok Wan and Dawn O Porter at the Morena Morena do at The Trampery. I gave them both my card- watch this space! It seemed telly bods were on my circuit as I also bumped into the lovely Mark Heyes at the Boohoo do. He has lovely eyes! (And is a big believer in fast fashion.) I got myself into the festive mood with this fabulous faux fur head warmer at the Zakti Activewear birthday do, and picked up some gorgeous kit too!

This is me at the first birthday party for Zakti Activewear in Angel- what fun, and a stunning selection of inspiring gym kit!

As I have just moved, I am on the lookout for housey bits this Christmas, but I did treat myself to some scrummy ankle boots from the gorgeous new website Sosandar. Check them out for classic on trend pieces that you can mix up with anything.
